Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the impact of the use of educational digital tools on the strengthening of students' reading skills in an educational institution in the municipality of Apartadó, Antioquia. Information and communication technologies (ICT) were implemented to improve reading comprehension at its three levels: literal, inferential and critical. The intervention included the use of interactive platforms such as Moodle, Educaplay, Liveworksheets and other digital resources. Through diagnostic tests and practical workshops, the students' performance was evaluated before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in reading comprehension levels, suggesting that the integration of ICT in the educational process can be decisive in increasing motivation and strengthening students' academic performance. The conclusions point out that the appropriate use of digital tools not only improves reading skills, but also contributes to the development of competencies applicable in their daily and future lives.
