Abstract

Technological advancements in dentistry, such as digital imaging, CAD/CAM systems, laser dentistry, teledentistry, 3D printing, and robotics, have significantly improved the quality of patient care and treatment efficiency. These innovations require a collaborative effort from dentists, dental assistants, and nurses to ensure seamless integration into dental practices. Dentists primarily utilize these technologies for diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedures, while dental assistants assist with equipment operation, patient preparation, and procedural support. Nurses play a critical role in patient care, particularly in managing medical conditions, monitoring recovery, and coordinating dental care in broader healthcare settings. This interdisciplinary approach ensures that technological advances are fully utilized to enhance patient outcomes and improve overall healthcare delivery.
