Abstract

The built environment accounts for a substantial portion of global energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, presenting significant challenges amid escalating climate change. This paper investigates innovative architectural strategies aimed at reducing environmental impacts and enhancing resilience. By integrating a comprehensive literature review, a detailed theoretical framework, and in-depth case study analyses, the study develops a unified conceptual framework for climate-responsive design. In addition to examining passive design, renewable energy integration, adaptive reuse, and smart urban planning, this paper discusses the roles of stakeholder engagement and digital technologies in sustainable architecture. Policy implications, challenges, and directions for future research are also explored, providing a robust foundation for advancing sustainability within the built environment.
